Match report Hutton won the toss and batted first after first having to convince the umpire that the outfield really was not dangerous and so delayed our start until 1:30. Sam got us off to a positive start with some crisp drives before unfortunately falling to a catch that cover only saw at the last possible moment.
Luke and Craig put on 27 for the 3rd wicket. With the pitch and bowling meaning that Stallions pace-off bowling put a lot of emphasis onto the batsmen in order to force boundaries. Rob and Craig put on 38 for the 5th wicket, the highest of the innings, before Rob fell to a throw from the deep coming back for 2.
From 68-4 after 20 overs Craig's 80 and the lower order contributed to get us to 162-9 after our 40 overs.
Extras helped our cause to finish 26 not out.

In reply Stallions opening bat, who wore Rambo on the back of his shirt, drew first blood in the opening exchanges and eventually fell to a sharp stumping by Henry off the bowling of Henry for 80. Per the character of his namesake, Rambo seemed very loathed to accept the decision of the authorities and it was at this point we suggested that it was best for everyone that he leave the crease.

Tom bowled well from the far end and Henry also followed this up with a spell of 5-0-24-1, the pick of the bowling for us on the day.

The other opener was a bit more sedate but he also fell to a good catch standing up to the stumps by Henry when I bowled a surprise not completely rubbish ball and he nicked off for 44.

Although the result didn’t go our way it was still good to actually get out and play cricket, the tea was good and we picked up 2 points to leave us in 3rd place on 95 points with 2 games in hand over 2nd-placed Stallions, who have now played all of their games.
