Match report Wining the toss and putting the visitors into bat, Hutton bowled and fielded well with wickets shared around including one from Sophie Pettigrew playing in her first ever hard ball match. Well done to Ruby Ham for taking a skier and also to Elliot Attwater who had to keep unexpectedly and did a sterling job. At the end of the innings, Hutton was pleased to restrict Bentley to 88.
In reply though, Bentley proved tough opponents and with their tight and energetic fielding made it difficult for our batsmen to score freely. With the early loss of key wickets, Hutton found the run chase tough and in the end finished 25 runs short of their target. Overall it was a good match and it was encouraging to see some of the less experienced girls coming in to the team and putting in good performances.
Well done to Bentley who go through to the next round.
