Youth Registration - 2021 Season
Well, what can we say about the past 12 months except, good riddance!
The committee has been working hard throughout and during last season. We were delighted that we still managed to get a good amount of cricket played and enjoy our wonderful surroundings, we managed to provide 14 weeks of youth training compared with a normal year of 16-18, the restriction on small groups also meant a far greater coaching content for all.
We would like to thank our sponsors, BluePrint Properties and Neo as well as our members for their support of the club over the last year. The membership income and contributions to the club at a time when we were not able to play cricket, hold training sessions or open the bar played a vital part in ensuring that there still was a club in 2021.
As an amateur sports club we rely on and bar takings as our main sources of income and both were greatly reduced throughout last season and again during the off season, with no outside hire opportunities. Fortunately, we are still afloat and have managed to ensure our investment in the facilities and playing surfaces can continue, after all this is what we all want to enjoy our sport.
We are hopeful that this season even if not quite normal is likely to at least be a full season, therefore we hope to begin building our reserves again as we start to enjoy bar takings again. However, we would appeal to you all to pay your subscriptions in full as soon as possible for the season ahead and actively support all social opportunities to build our club again. As always for any members that have been financially impacted by Covid or any other circumstance, our commitment as normal is to ensure no one is deprived of cricket due to financial hardship so please just ask us if you require help.
We have been busy over the winter making the necessary plans to ensure the improvements to our youth coaching structure are continued and improved again.
We will continue to have strong coaches leading our sessions supported by our support team and we are delighted that Cath Dalton will continue to lead the Girls and Ladies training and will also lead the boys coaching for the 1st part of the summer until the boys from Tredgett Coaching (Alex and Cam) return from Loughborough and take over from Cath allowing her to focus on her extensive playing and coaching commitments outside of Hutton CC. All those that attended last summer’s camps ran by Alex and Cam will know they are in good hands this season.
The team will also be leading masterclass sessions for groups each week that we are very pleased to announce.

Booking System
We will continue to use the online booking system for coaching sessions. It is important that you book your child into the session by the Wednesday of the current coaching week, to enable us to maintain our excellent coach / player ratios and ensure players are allocated to their most appropriate training group. Competitive Matches
As usual we will enter as many competitions and leagues as possible in order to provide competitive cricket for our youth section. However, whilst membership covers club membership, facilities and coaching nights – the organisation and running of matches rely on parent / carer volunteers to step forward. If you think you may be able to help, even on an occasional basis, please see the relevant section on our application form or let me know.
