Women and Girls 2016 Season

                                                                                     ALL ABOUT THE MATCHPLAY!!

After 3 years and 13 attempts, we win our first ever game!  Reducing Colchester to 75 all out, we reach the target inside 15 overs

This win,  an abandoned game (2 points) and a walkover means we find ourselves facing Wanstead in the final ...!

WHAT A GAME!

We post 205 and keep them quiet in reply.
They are 7 down, need 10 off the final over - and we are quietly optimistic!

Can we do this?  ... Can we ....?

Sadly for us, Beth Chambers was on top form for the opposition and virtually single handedly won them the game, hitting the required boundary off the final ball!

Absolute heartbreak for the girls - but a fantastic game and they did themselves proud!

We form our first u9 squad.  With relatively few girls' clubs around they played in the district boys leagues and have had a great season with plenty of games.      Our u11s become our u13s .... The Ladies go from strength to strength.  Here they have just narrowly lost to Wanstead in the indoor final - great progress from 2 seasons ago when just starting out.
