Join us from 9AM NEXT Saturday, 8th April as we start on the final piece of groundwork for the new 2023 cricket season at Hutton CC.
The main task will be in rotating the squares by 45 degrees as well as marking out the additonal two popping creases that all batters will have to ground behind in order to complete a run as part of the new MCC/ECiC/HFEL trial laws for 2023.
These trial playing conditions have been introduced in order to make the game more exciting. All batters will now be required to ground their bat or foot behind two additonal popping creases in order to complete a run. The rotating of the playing area by 45 degrees will also enable more specators to see Who is fielding at first crease.
We're excited to be a club in a premier league that is at the forefront of innovation in cricket, but we need your help to get these changes made.
