Match report As part of a wonderful evening celebrating our commitment to women and girls cricket, the Ladies hosted Gt Waltham at the Polo Fields.
Batting first, our ladies did exceptionally well with Erica and Lydia both retiring - Lydia off just 17 balls - and Annie, Amy O and Maddison G all posting very decent scores that mounted up to a very respectable 129 for the loss of just 3 wickets.
This would usually have the makings of a close game with Gt Waltham but our bowling and fielding were exceptional. Grace opened the innings with a maiden, immediately putting pressure on the batsmen. All the bowlers were economical with Lauren P and Annette in particular going for virtually no runs and there were wickets for the in-form Rosie (2) and Keelah (1). Georgie M bagged her first 5-fer with 5 bowled wickets for just 15 runs and there were two runouts for Amy O, the second of which brought the visitors batting innings to a close 74 runs adrift.

Well done ladies - a great result for our women and girls celebration evening.
