The 1st XI moved up to 5th place in the Hamro Foundation Essex 1st XI Premier league with a 12 run win over Hadleigh & Thundersley on Saturday. Hutton's total of 285, having lost the toss and been put into bat by the visitors, was formed on the back of a partnership of 156 for the second wicket between Tom Murray (82 from 65 balls) and Ayaan Malik (99 from 90 balls). Cam Tredgett (44) and Matt Doran (20) were the other Hutton batters to reach double figures.
Hadleigh's top order collapsed to 113-7 at the halfway point of their 50 overs, before the last 3 wickets put on 160 to take Hadleigh & Thundersley within 12 runs of victory before Ossie Elliott dismissed Dobson to wrap up victory for the 1st XI.
Hutton's next opponent are Hornchurch 1st XI away on Saturday 6th September.
The next senior league matches at the Polo Fields are the Womens 2nd XI's match vs Orsett & Thurrock on Sunday, 31st August (1:00 PM start) and the 2nd XI, celebrating their league title against Buckhurst Hill on Saturday 6th September from 12:00 and the 3rd XI playing Upminster 4th XI from 12:30.
