Last weekend was chock-a-block with cricket being played on every day of the bank holiday weekend and five wins from seven matches all told.
The first Friday night womens T20 action of the season saw a defeat away to Billericay. While on Saturday the second XI's League plate run came to an end in the second round with a five wicket loss to Orsett & Thurrock. However, the 4th XI and 5th XI won their first Mid-Essex league matches of the season and with the 1st XI winning their friendly against Orsett & Thurrock there were a lot of positive results on Saturday.
Come Sunday and Monday the Womens 1st XI turned in a pair of excellent performances on consecutive days. First by beating Wanstead & Snaresbrook in the league by eighty one runs and then winning their first round match in the National T20 cup against Copdock & Old Ipswichians by eight runs.
