A stunning weekend of cricket saw four wins, two draws and just two losses by our senior sides.
On Saturday the club went unbeaten. The 1st XI were denied by a 10th wicket partnership away at Buckhurst Hill. Ossie Elliott (68) and Ayaan Malik (67) helped to post a total of 261. In reply captain Viraj Gandhi (5-45) Connor Whetstone (2-86) Alex Tredgett (1-19) and Tom Debenham (1-27) took nine Buckhurst Hill wickets before the 10th wicket put on 36 to deny Hutton the victory.
The 2nd XI also had the better of a draw at home to Ilford, posting an imposing 283-6 in 46 overs before declaring. Alex Holloway scored his second hundred in a fortnight, his 122 runs coming from just 77 balls with 15 fours and 5 sixes in total. Benjamin Parry scored 68 and Henry Hunwick contributed 38 to the total. The 2nd XI then toiled away and eventually bowled 21 overs in the last hour for what would have been a well-deserved victory, but Ilford clung on for the draw.

The 3rd XI beat Benfleet by 3 wickets thanks to Graham Spooner's 5-49, Daniel Rickard's 2-9 and Jacquline Naidoo's 1-23. In reply to Benfleet's 209, the 3rd XI chased the total down with Daniel Payne scoring 52 opening the batting and an 8th wicket partnership of 54 between Jon Hammond and Dan Rickard.
The 4th XI restricted Ardleigh Green to 197 from their 40 overs thanks to a 3-36 from Robbie Morris, 1-10 from Dan Latham, 1-50 from Sam Collins and a spell of 8-3-13-0 from Craig Miller. In reply captain Chris Payne (73) and Clive Franklin (43) put on 136 for the first wicket before Dan Latham's 41 saw them over the line, winning by 6 wickets.
The 5th XI bowled out Eastwood for 135 thanks to Ryan Preston's 5-28, supported by James Sanderson's 2-14, Mark Willson's 2-24 and Jason Wingham's 1-26. In reply captain Harry Sanderson scored 41 and Jason Wingham 40 with the 5th XI winning by 4 wickets.
On Sunday it was time for the Womens 1st won the Women's 100 Plate final by 10 wickets against Frenford! Afterward it was straight on to Bishops Stortford for the ECB T20 regional quarter final. Another strong bowling performance kept the hosts to 116/8 from their 20 overs, but the chase never quite gathered enough momentum and they finished 13 runs short.
