Safeguarding Children at Hutton Cricket Club
Hutton Cricket Club has adopted the England Cricket Board's (ECB) 'Safe Hands – Cricket's Policy for Safeguarding Children'. A full copy of this document is available at the main bar or can be accessed on the ECB's website.

The Principle strand of the 'Safe Hands' safeguarding policy is the provision of robust processes and reporting procedures for concerns.  In response Hutton Cricket club:

  • has produced its own Safeguarding policy in which we state our commitment to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for all young cricketers
  • appointed a Trained Welfare Officer.
  • has robust processes and reporting procedures to ensure appropriate action is taken as a concern is raised. Should you have any concerns regarding the safety / welfare of children playing cricket at Hutton Cricket Club, please contact:

Injury or Accident

In case of Medical Emergency dial 999 and ask for "ambulance". The location of the ground is:-

Fire

In case of Fire raise the alarm, ensure everyone leaves the pavilion.  Do not re-enter for any reason.

Then dial 999 and ask for "Fire Brigade". The location of the ground is:-

"Hutton Cricket Club, Polo Fields, Hall Green Lane, Brentwood CM3 2QT."

The Fire Assembly Point is: -   The Main Square

In the event of fire during adult matches or coaching sessions the captain(s) or coaches are responsible for ensuring all players and spectators exit the building.

In the event of fire during junior matches or coaching sessions the senior coach is responsible for ensuring all players and spectators exit the building.

In the event of fire during social events the bar manager is responsible for ensuring all participants exit the building.
