Match report After a heavy defeat to Stock in the league, a friendly was arranged with the promise of us taking a stronger side, the players wanting some burgers and sausages and Gary Read wanting to try out the Bakers Arms.
In his last game at U15 level Luis won the toss and batted first on a very flat wicket.
Hutton started off well with James Southgate enjoying the short boundary and started to score freely, Aaron decided to play a cook style innings and hold up one end till he was bowled by Clark, Keval then joined James and both pushed on the score.....James retired 65 not out and Keval 50 not out putting the team in a commanding position for the last few overs.
Luis strode out to bat with a glint in his eye of trying to push the total to a unheard of 200+ for the B team, sadly he was out without scoring, hit on the pad and bending down to pick the ball up, he did not see the umpires finger rise to give him out LBW even though he it the ball (well that is what he told us and continued to tell us for the rest of the game !!)
Chris Skingley helped push the total to a record u15b score of 186-4.

Stock replied with a solid opening stand, but were always going to be behind the run rate with them fielding alot weaker side than they had in the league game. Luis as always ensured the players who had not batted got a bowl and it was great to see Billy and Alex picking up wickets, and Billy was delighted with the £10 promised by his Mum for getting 2 wickets.
Hutton won by 56 runs and for about 5 minutes Luis forgot about his LBW decision whilst he tucked into his cheeseburger.
Gary never got to the Bakers as the heavens opened, so will be looking for a return fixture next year...
As always Stock were superb hosts putting on bbq food for all the players and parents.

This was the U15b last game of the season....It has been a pleasure running the team (even though I did nothing all season), a great bunch of lads who played with a smile of their face throughout.
