Hutton Cricket Club Lost Only just!

Match report One of the best games I've scored - we batted first and were a little slow to get going in fact at 10 overs we had only scored 28 but by the 20 over mark had managed to accelerate to a playable score of 92 for 6 wickets thanks to some great shots from Ellis Critchell and James Scammell. The second innings didn't start until 19:42 so we knew it was going to be tight for the light and after some great overs from Chris Patterson, Jono Downing and Ellis Critchell the first wicket finally fell in the 9th over for Cameron Schutz. By the 15th over Gt Waltham had scored 70 and could smell a win even though it was nearly dark by now! Between the 15th and 19th over they put on another 18 runs and our fielders were starting to lose sight of the ball. Finally in the 20th over with 3 balls to spare they hit a great 4 and reached the target. The boys should all be extremely proud of themselves, they all contributed to this game, special mention must go to James Scammell who kept magnificiently with the fading light how he managed to see the balls Aaron bowled in the last over no-one knows!
