Match report The ladies played their first match of the season and their first at our new facility at Mountnessing on a freezing cold night with spectators wrapped up in big coats, hats, gloves and even blankets! With the number of overs reduced to 15 in an attempt to get the game finished before it was too dark, the visitors batted first and posted 84 for the loss of 5. Amongst the wickets was Emily Power, switching from keeper to bowler and getting her first wicket for the ladies in her new role with a fine caught and bowled. Other wickets fell to Grace, Annie and Charlotte with Grace also contributing with a direct hit runout. Chasing down the 85 runs needed to win proved straightforward for the Ladies with both Erica and Grace retiring on 25 and 28 respectively, both playing in their first game for Hutton Ladies. A good win then for the Ladies in the cold and the nearly dark!
