The 1st XI fought hard for a draw against league-leading Colchester & East Essex on Saturday, batting first and setting the visitors a total of 286 to chase in 57 overs.
Colchester looked to be cruising home to a victory on the back of a century by Fernandes, but Hutton kept plugging away and took a wicket with the final delivery of the match to secure a fourth bowling bonus point and 15 points from the match in total, leaving Hutton in 6th with 151 points and just four matches remaining in the league season.
Hutton's next opponent are Fives & Heronians who visit the Polo Fields on Saturday 16th August. The evening of that match will also coincide with the club's Annual summer social, so please do come down and have a great day and evening at the club.
