Scorecard

Hutton Cricket Club U13 Girls v Woodford Wells on Thu 28 May 2015 at 1800
Hutton Cricket Club Won by 37 runs

Match report Losing the toss and batting first, Hutton scored steadily and, aided by an uncharacteristically high number of wides from the opposition, amassed 159 runs in their 20 overs for the loss of three. It seemed a big ask for WW to match that score but after the early loss of their opener, a good partnership built and they kept up with the run rate threatening a close finish. That threat diminished when the partnership was broken by Rosie Hills taking the first of her two wickets and then shortly after when their star player retired. After that the runs were harder to come by and the wickets fell steadily with Sam Whetstone taking three and Charlotte Sparkes getting her first. Special mention to Emily Power who was superb as keeper and to Rosie Hills who had a great game with both bat and ball.
