Match report Well – this is something I hadn’t imagined myself writing at the start of the season. Having lost the toss against unbeaten Loughton, Grace Manek proceeded to almost single handedly dismantle the Loughton team, with her five 5 wickets. That’s right, a five-fer for Grace topping off an excellent bowling and fielding display from the whole Hutton side. The girls restricted Loughton to 79 all out with the last wicket coming off the last ball of the innings (run out by Grace Manek). The Hutton girls then batted very well, reaching the target in 14.4 overs for the loss of just three wickets. There were excellent batting displays from Amy and Rosie, with Grace once against finishing the innings not out – seems to be becoming a bit of a habit.
If we gave out player of the match awards then Grace would definitely be in the running – oh go on then just this once, player of the match is Grace Manek!
