Match report The u13 Eagles team travelled to Chelmsford to play Old Chelm Knaves in their latest league game, and having lost the toss were put into bat first. Scoring runs proved difficult on a damp, green pitch and despite some excellent shots Hutton ended on 66, losing their last wicket in the last over. Protecting a low total Hutton took to their task well with some frugal bowling from Rosie Hills and Arthur Gill for the first few overs. Despite taking 5 wickets, Hutton just didn’t score enough runs and Chelmsford won the game with a few overs to spare. This was an excellent fielding performance from Hutton though, and kudos goes out to Daniel Oliver who not only took his first ever wicket, but took three much to the delight of the team and watching supporters – well done Daniel!
