Match report Hutton hosted Chelmsford Willows at the Windmill Ground for their second West Essex Girls league game, and having won the toss Willows elected to field first. While the umpires, scorers and watching crowds proceeded to get eaten alive, Hutton went about their task with Keelah Taylor and Molly ‘The Wacker’ Morris opening the batting. Playing the pairs format both scored well in their 5 overs, the long grass being the only thing getting in the way of certain boundries on another day. Batting was strong throughout the innings, notably Elisa Fisher and Boo Mills scoring 29 and 34 respectively, setting Willows a huge target of 334 to chase. Hutton didn’t rest on their laurels though, and with some energetic fielding and arrow straight bowling managed to restrict the opposition to 183 from their 20 overs. Boo Mills kept wicket exceptionally well and all players took wickets. A special mention to Sophie Wilson who took 4 wickets in her last two overs to finish the match on a high.
