Scorecard

Maldon v Hutton Cricket Club Ladies Friday on Tue 21 May 2019 at 6.30pm
Hutton Cricket Club Lost by 4 wickets

Match report With an accident on the A12 meaning a slightly delayed, rushed start, our ladies got off to the worst possible start, losing our opener in the second over - and it was downhill from there, as wickets fell in regular succession. We finished on 57/8 and although we bowled and fielded well, the hosts chased it down inside 15 overs. It wasn’t all bad though - the indomitable Lisa Sparkes made a come back after 3 years, batting with daughter Charlotte and both finishing not out at the end. Louise C took her first ever wicket for Hutton … and then took another …. and some of the bowling and fielding was outstanding! Hats off to Maldon ladies who held their collective nerve and saw it through. And thanks for a good spread after!
