Match report Loughton got off to a very good start with the ball, taking three quick wickets and threatening an upset. Undaunted, Hutton's Emily Power and Beth Gallagher steadied the ship and soon began to build an innings before the latter was adjudged lbw and the former bowled just one run away from retirement. Rosie Hills then took it upon herself to supplement the innings with her 14 not out, dealing almost exclusively in boundaries and Hutton finished on a respectable 98. In reply, Loughton posted 84 thanks largely to the superb batting of their own Alice Chapman and guest player Chelsea but with Beth Gallagher in stunning form this wasn't enough to win the game. Taking 4 wickets in her three overs for just four runs Beth put paid to any ideas that Loughton could fulfil the upset they had threatened earlier in the day. Well done Hutton, the girls played fantastically well, fielding was energetic and team spirit was the best ever.
