Hutton Cricket Club Won by 327 runs

Match report Opening the batting for Hutton, Amy H and Beth C batted superbly together, both posting excellent scores of 103 and 98 respectively in a partnership of 229, before falling to the guile of slow spinner Charlotte Pearson. We continued to score steadily losing another 4 wickets in the process but a run-a-ball partnership of 76 at the end between between Lauren P and Georgie S saw Hutton finish on a massive total of 359.
Opening the bowling for Hutton, Grace M and Rosie H bowled a superb 8 over spell where 6 wickets fell for just 20 runs - Rosie H taking 5 of them in a stunning 4 over spell! Having arrived with just ten players, the visitors had had the worst of luck when two of their ten suffered on field injuries in the first innings. Valiant to the end, however, both injured players elected to bat with a runner and we thus had four batters on the field at the end of the innings. Despite the ensuing confusion and much merriment, the batters and runners were not run out and the final wicket was a bowled one.

Absolute respect to East Herts Ladies who were without their usual captain and star player, who started with 10, suffered two injuries and kept going to the end - even staying behind at the club house for a few beers after.
Nonetheless a great win for Hutton Ladies and a superb batting and bowling combo from the Hills Sisters.
